The Record Pi is great! Nice quality for the money. App was easy to add and works great. First record was a 52 yo copy of Kraftwerk’s Autobahn, NM/NM but with an edge warp. It took five bakes of increasing time, but now it’s nearly flat. Why so difficult? Was it the record age, a heat warp, or?? But the Record Pi worked! Next was a new red vinyl of O Brother Where Art Thou? with two edge warps. One bake and it was flat; so nice! Easier cause a newer record, or red vinyl? All I know is the Record Pi worked superbly! I am so glad I bought this; highly recommended! Video is Autobahn before flattening.
Had a CCR record from the 70’s with a severe edge warp. The needle would shudder and bounce passing over the warp. Entire song would skip very badly on both side 1 and side 2. After 4 sessions, the record is now completely flat and plays flawlessly. Amazing product. Works very well on basic bowl wraps also. Very happy with the results.
If this was baseball I'd be batting a thousand. Four for four with fantastic results. VERY HAPPY with the Record Pi
I could not be more pleased with the results I have gotten on the four records that I’ve flattened. I’ve had very good results running at 130 degrees for 3.5 hrs with a 2 hr cool down.
I'm incredibly impressed! It works just as described. I have fixed over a dozen warped vinyls since getting the Record Pi. After following the recommendations with some success, I went with 129 degrees and shut off after 3 hours from turning it on. One more run after a full cool down has been my go to so far. Are they perfectly flat? Some yes, some no, but I'm not having playback issues now which was what I was looking for. Highly, highly recommend if you're looking for a solution to warped vinyls.

Buy it, do not hesitate! It’s been almost a month that I have received the device and I have flattened more than 20 dish warped records with it successfully. Most of them required one bake, a few double and a couple triple. The device is very easy to set up and use. The instructions are clear and easy to follow. I would definitely recommend this for serious collectors as the instances of receiving warped records seem to be increasing. It is a reasonable investment to make specially at this price point. I contemplated acquiring a more expensive one but I am glad that I did not. As recommendations for improvement, I’d say the first thing is the wing nut. I bought a thumb/knob nut (see the photo) on Amazon and that made my life easier. A more challenging one would integrating everything in an enclosure so there would be no need for wire/cable management. I understand that might increase the price but that could make using the device much easier and streamlined.

I love my Record Pi. We had a leak and water damage to a lot of albums that went undiscovered for sometime. Lost a lot of covers but I was able to clean the vinyl. There were a lot of records with significant warp. I have been able to restore almost all of them to playable with great sound. I am very pleased with the purchase. Saved my Q, R, S, and T albums that took the hit. Thanks!

It’s a game changer for sure! An absolute necessity if you have large collections or if you’re coming up unlucky with a lot of the new vinyl from pressing plants with low quality control. I’ve already flattened about seven warped records and I’ve only had it for two weeks. The record in the clip had been in my late grandmother’s collection since the late 60s and had been given to me about 15 years ago, meaning for 40-50 years, it had sat in a dark hot basement! This was easily the most warped record in my collection, and now it’s far from it! Thank you Record Pi!
After ruining several LPs in my kitchen oven, I decided to buy a purpose-built device to address the ever-growing number of warped LPs in my humble collection. I did some research on trusted sites and decided that the Record Pi would be my best option. Ordering and shipping (to a non-domestic address) were a breeze. After a couple of overly cautious attempts to fix a beat up old record, I was finally able to get it reasonably flat by adding temperature and time to what is recommended in the instructions. Unfortunately, the second record in the two record set did not improve after several such attempts to flatten it. As they say, some warps just won't get better. After a week or so, my success rate is 7 out of 8, so really, that's pretty good. What I think stands out about the Record Pi is the temperature-control module. It appears to be very well engineered, and when it comes to my valuable vinyl, I don't want a wonky unit melting anything. It would be nice if the unit had a built-in timer, rather than relying on a third-party app that isn't very user friendly. Overall, I'm very pleased with my purchase and I would recommend the Record Pi to anyone that is tired of watching their tonearm and cartridge bopping to the music.
Works absolutely wonderfully. I have great luck with running it at 140 for about 4 hours. I’ll also run it with two records as this seems to give the best results. Obviously, you need to run your felt liners between them, don’t stack two records on top of each other. This has already paid itself off. Thanks Record Pi!
Excellent product. I have a a few records that are warped but one in particular that was expensive and kept sealed until a week ago when I discovered a nasty warp that rendered it unplayable. Four hours later in this device and I now have a fixed record. I am so happy and pleased.

With the poor quality control of records nowadays ( not always but sometimes ) I always feel bad if a record end up in the shelf because of warps, we spend quite some money on records and it's a shame, I was done with bowled / dished records and had quite some of them! Last weekend I spend quite some time, and the results are amazing! This is only one records of multiple, all of them are amazing! difference is night and day, this specific record it's almost half a centimeter difference. I advice to european buyers to keep the fahrenheit setting, it's way more accurate then celsius. Buy are trustable CE stepdown converter to prevent issues! Use the app, it's very convenient! Smart Life, LSC and there another few apps which support this RecordPi. I have learned to do two hours + 45 for the heating up and works great! Great machine and quaility! Highly recommend!
The record pi works fantastic, I have flattened a bunch of my records that range in warpage from minor to severe. The record pi has fixed every one. I Didn’t think it could be done! Great job you guys, great product.
So I was a little apprehensive! By the time you have landed it in the UK you’re into £300 plus. Having said that it works !

I used Record Pi to remove warps in 4 vinyl records. Two were in yellow vinyl, and two in black vinyl. I wish I had this 15 yrs ago to use on warped records I no longer have.
Excellent results following basic settings of 120 deg for 2 hours.
Having had one too many records arrive warped, I took the plunge and ordered one. UK buyers, take note that shipping and import duty will another £130.00ish to the cost. You will also need a step down transformer. I got one rated to 500w to be on the safe side for about £25.00 So, was it worth it? So far I'd say yes. The initial bake for 2 hours at 125f on a badly warped record I could risk loosing had no effect. After reading a very good thread on the Steve Hoffman music forum, the consensus was that 6 hours at 130f yields results. Certainly seems to. I just tried a warped record from the PiL Metal Box (£££) I had just picked up - warped enough to launch the stylus at the start of Albatross. After 6 hours and an overnight cool down, it now plays perfectly. Very happy. A new copy of Mazzy Stars debut is now baking. It was very badly dished. The app also seems to work, and I've sussed out how to set it to automatically turn off after a certain time. I'm averaging a record a day. Load it into the Pi before work and leave under pressure. Turn on when I get home and allow an overnight cool down. I've now several weeks / months worth of flattering lined up...

I practiced on an album that was so bad that it really didn’t have any chance of being repaired. Shockingly, however, the Record Pi almost did the job. I have repaired 8 additional albums since, but they weren’t terrible so I didn’t video them. My go to is 135° for 2:15 hours. This is a keeper for sure!
This thing does what it was meant to do and it does it well. It heats the record evenly and fixed a minor warp that I had. I have all new records and unfortunately about half have come with some kind of warp. It isn't as bad as other reviewers have posted but it's still bothersome to me and it also isn't the worst warp that I have. Thanks to the other reviewers here and research my first bake was a success. I figured I would post some tips for other newbies like me to help ensure success with new records. First of all, I think it's worth mentioning that I like to tighten the wing nut until it starts to feel tension and then loosen it a little bit. If the nut is too tight you won't get even pressure across the plate as more of the pressure will be in the center. In the video shown, one edge of my record was warped so that was kind of important in my situation. At the suggestion of many reviewers, I used 132° F for 3.3 hours. Many that had success let it cool for longer than the suggested 45 minutes which makes sense. Heating will make the record a little more pliable and cooling is where the record will firm up to it's final form. I waited around 3 hours and monitored in the app until it was below 80° and it came out perfectly flat! The app is a little odd as there wasn't a timer and when I tried to automate my bake for 3.3 hours it shut off early on me after just 15 - 20 minutes at the target temp. I just use it to monitor the process now. I emailed Record Pi support to ask if this would help with picture records and they said that the heat may ruin the picture and the double sided coating on the record would be an issue. Plenty have said to put a stack of books or a stack of records on top of a warped record for days or weeks to flatten it. That got me thinking and you could potentially clamp it in the plate for days to weeks and not bake it, letting the pressure take care of the issue. I will try this method soon and see what happens. I thought the Record Pi didn't take very long to get to temp unlike many reviewers. I use it in a cool, dry basement so maybe that's the difference. Either way it worked great on the first few records I've tried. Next, I'll be trying it on records that have a little more warp to them and I'm sure this device will deliver.
I can’t say enough how impressed I was with the results. The first try not much then turned up the heat and after 2 1/2 hours, I turned off and was waiting for cooldown and fell asleep the next morning the results speak for themselves flat completely flat and plays great.
IT WORKS!! Ac/DC Back in Black first press 1981. Baked the following: All at 125 degrees 2 hours. 45 min rest 3 hours. 10 hour rest 4 hours. 15 hour rest. See before and after result videos for yourself!

1968 BB King - Lucille Unplayable, didn’t even spin on one side. Recipe 135 degrees Two - 4 hour bakes Plays and sounds great - Will probably do one more trip through the Pi. Thanks for a great and affordable option for record flattening! It really works! (Over 30 records so far)

3 Hours at 134 Degrees, Vinyl is now PERFECT! This was one of the best investments I have made to take care of my valuable Vinyl Collection.
The vinyl that has a roller-coaster area that causes a jump-and-skip for some (light) cartridge. 125F/2h gave no improvement. 130F/3.5h gave a bit of improvement. 135F/5h gave an acceptable result. Not perfect but good enough to live without worrying that someday it might jump-and-skip again. I'm at peace now!
My video demo says it all. I did a lot of research online and discovered Record Pi was getting the best reviews for this price point. The process takes patience and you may need to up the recommended specs of time & temperature but ultimately the results are positive. I haven't been able to flatten records with subtle warble perfectly but for the ones that have severe warping this definitely does the job! Thanks so much.

I had an album that a friend called "pretzels warped". It was like it was twisted and the highest warp was around 1" off a flat surface. 2 bakes at 140° max and it was fixed. Once at 2.5 hours and 3.5 hours the 2nd time because when my timer went off I turned on my preset cooling time and went to remove it and it was strangely hot. I forgot to turn off the Record Pi! This thing has worked beyond expectations!
You need to be patient to find the right balance of temperature and time. At first, I was very skeptical about the results, but after several tests, I achieved my goal. Excellent purchase!
